Marc Summers

Last Fall we had a visit from Marc Summers, the veteran TV host and producer that some may remember from the green slime days of Double Dare on Nickelodeon.  More recently, Marc was the host of History IQ on the History Channel and now he is the host of the popular show Unwrapped on the Food Network.

Marc has famously fought and won a longstanding battle with Obsessive Cumpulsive Disorder (OCD) and in 1999 he published his memoir, “Everything in its place: My Trials and Triumphs with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder” (A Jerermy P. Tarcher/Putnam Book).

Marc and his group took a Segway tour of the Western battlefield with one of our Licensed Battlefield Guides, Jim Connery.  He recently sent us an email remembering his experience:

“It has been three months since our segway tour of Gettysburg, and we still can’t stop talking about it! The scenery, the information, the history! We learned, we laughed and we were informed and entertained. Absolutely do not miss the opportunity to take this voyage. I endorse it!”

Like most celebrities we’ve met, Marc was a friendly and down-to-Earth guy.  It was great to have him along on our tour and we hope that he comes back to visit the Eastern battlefield!
